Error description

  • Abstract:

Attempts to perform incremental EJB deployment when you have an
EJB Deployment source folder other than the default 'ejbModule'
fail and a full deployment is performed.

Problem:

A full EJB deployment will take significantly longer to complete
than an incremental deployment and can manifest as a publishing
performance problem when publishing the EJB application to a
WebSphere Application Server instance.

Local fix:

There is no known workaround at this time.

A check for the existence of certain files is required to
determine if a full or incremental deployment is required.
This check is failing if these files were located in the EJB
Deployment source folder.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A check was added to see if the required files are in the
EJB Deployment source folder.  The fix for this APAR is
included in Rational Application Developer v8.0.4.1.
